High School - Teacher - Business Studies & Economics

Essential

  • Teaching Business & Economics to students according to the Cambridge International Examinations Curriculum requirements
  • Preparing curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials for class instruction and activities, managing information on the LMS
  • Adapting teaching methods, learning strategies, and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests
  • Conducting assessments of student attainment, monitoring student academic progress and providing pertinent feedback
  • Establishing classroom expectations, observing and evaluating student performance, behaviour, social development, and health

Parent Relations Officer

Essential

  • Counselling parents/students regarding admission requirements, procedures, school curriculum, and academic programs
  • Coordinating campus visits for parents
  • Follow up with parents who have visited the campus seeking admission to enrol their children
  • Maintaining and carrying out all correspondence with parents (welcome letter to new parents, mailing them Parent Handbook, sending them the User Id /Password for Google classrooms, etc
  • Maintain student records (Data of students and parents, student’s health information, student withdrawal and fee-related details)
  • Maintain individual student files, which help the school track each student’s past and present information
  • Preparing students’ ID cards and pickup cards once the admission is confirmed/ each academic year
  • E-mailing the Learning Outcomes grade-wise for each term to the parents
  • PR is the single point of contact for all communication with parents regarding notifications about events and channelising communication between teachers and parents
  • Addressing all concerns regarding academics, transportation, health and other affairs concerning students at school
  • Follow up with parents for pending fees and send them periodic reminders regarding the last date for payment of term fees
  • Coordinating the PTMs being held at school and facilitating the entire process
  • Keep parents informed regarding the exam schedule and learning outcomes for each term
  • Issuing Bonafide certificates and Transfer certificates to students as per parents’ request and facilitating the smooth exit of students
  • Updating changes in student contact information and informing the Admin. Dept about the same
  • Maintaining data regarding subject selection (choice of musical instrument & sport) and choice of 2nd and 3rd language of each student
  • Maintain and update data concerning students enrolled in the after-school sports academy, Saturday academy, etc
  • Follow up with parents in case of frequent absenteeism of the student
  • Manage and coordinate with various universities for Student Career Counseling sessions
  • Allot students to sections/clubs and hand over all student-related information as per the section to the respective class teachers at the beginning of each academic year
  • Update Class Teachers periodically regarding any change of parent contact information and all circulars mailed to parents
  • Coordinating adventure trips and excursions for students travelling within and outside the city
  • Keep the Principal informed of all the above

Admissions Officer
Essential

  • Counselling Parents for admission
  • To organise and arrange interviews/assessments for prospective students with the help of teachers
  • Constant follow-up with prospective parents
  • Schedule and conduct Admissions Interviews, analyse the potential of enquiries/applicants and debrief colleagues on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinating with Parent Relations Officers and Teachers regarding Admission Formalities
  • Manage overall admissions procedure to ensure that proper correspondence and documentation are received, acknowledged, and filed and that departments are notified appropriately
  • Process admissions documents
  • Send out promotional literature to prospective families and other representatives
  • Help oversee telephone/e-mail enquiries
  • Liaise with Accounts Dept. to collect registration fees and payment or refund other payments (deposits, tuition fees)
  • Compilation of data for and distribution of monthly admissions reports
  • Record admissions activity case by case for both accepted and rejected applicants for future reference
  • Liaise with Head Admin to ensure a sufficient supply of school promotional material for admissions use, including ongoing supply of current School Newsletters
  • Observe the central admissions timeline for applications as determined by SMIS and ensure the set deadlines are met
  • Report formally and informally to the Principal on daily student numbers and prospective admissions
  • Maintain the Admissions Database (Portal)
  • Conduct/arrange regular tours and information sessions for prospective families and students
  • Maintain and file Admissions Office records (enquiry forms, enrolment reports, rejected/withdrawn applicant files, and other miscellaneous files)
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Cambridge programmes, the application process, the Terms and Conditions and the Parent Contract

Wellbeing Counsellor

Essential

  • Demonstrated capacity to work with staff, parents, and students in delivering Wellbeing services in the context of a school environment
  • Thorough knowledge of adolescent developmental and educational issues and demonstrated applications in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to provide appropriate recommendations to staff and families to support the needs of individual students, for example – behaviour management, student learning and social and emotional interventions
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in evidence-based short-term counselling, deliver group interventions and provide appropriate referrals externally based on student needs

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, division heads and school principals in facilitating student wellbeing programs and counselling
  • Support health promotion initiatives in the school
  • Maintenance of confidential files and records per professional guidelines, ethical codes, health records and privacy guidelines

Career Counsellor

Essential

  • Guide students throughout their journey to discovering their dream university and program
  • Assist students with university and course selection, guidance on scholarships, etc., profile building, financing options, & determine the interest, aptitude, and abilities and help guide them on the Visa processes for critical countries
  • Setting rigorous follow-up mechanisms with students and the Universities abroad
  • Setting new benchmarks in student experiences and services
  • Adept with the changing way that overseas education counselling is conducted by being digital
  • Embrace technology to provide real-time, high-quality counselling services with the latest information at your fingertips
  • Be there for students daily to ensure their concerns are addressed and follow up with universities and internal teams to ensure their application process runs smoothly
  • Help the clients list all documents needed while submitting their applications
  • Help the clients with SOP Analysis and Improvements, Assistance for LORs, Resume editing, and Financial Documentation Support
  • Assist the clients with Visa applications & help them to prepare for the Visa interview
  • Manage internal support teams to ensure the overall student experience is of the highest quality and all timelines are met

Requirements

  • Certified Career Counsellor with 3-5 years of relevant experience in career counselling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be a good listener
  • Ideally, have some prior overseas education experience
  • Well-versed with counselling and processes for admissions for USA, Canada, Australia, UK etc
  • Willingness to learn and be humble
  • Graduation/Master’s in Counselling or psychology will be an advantage
