Teacher – English (Middle School)

Job roles & responsibilities:

  • To understand and implement the Scheme of Learning for the respective subject.
  • Ensure students learning.
  • To plan lessons for respective subject/class on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
  • Document all lesson plans, worksheets and any other resources (links/sites) used for teaching/learning.
  • To share previous and current lesson plans with the peers for broader version.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments on a regular basis as per the school calendar.
  • Actively and constructively participate in the planning sessions of the respective department.
  • To give constructive and timely feedback to students.
  • Regular correction of notebooks (any given assignment to the students must be checked by the teacher within two days).
  • Put up relevant displays of their subjects in classroom soft boards.
  • To fill up the Daily Log Register at the end of the lesson/ period.
  • To ensure differential learning in classrooms.
  • To observe lessons of peer teachers and the Divisional Head so as to implement modification and improvement where required.
  • Aid in the selection of text-books and Library books apt for the various classes.
  • To plan and organise activities to enhance student learning (Science Fair, Math Fair, Literary Fest, Annual Day, Trips and Excursions, Guest Lectures, etc).
  • To encourage active participation of the students in various departmental events successfully.
  • To bring to the notice of the Divisional Head any issues that are difficult to handle at the class level.
  • To update the Divisional Head about the academic progress of each student and any parent-related issues.
  • To play a full part in the life of the school community and to support its distinctive vision, mission, ethos and policies.
  • To continue personal and professional development.
  • To undertake any other duties assigned by the Principal.

Essential

  • The teacher should have a vast knowledge of the subject.

  • Min 2-3 Years of teaching experience in Cambridge/IB schools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of the subject.
  • Ability to create an effective teaching method for children.

Special Educator

Job roles & responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs
  • Adapt general lessons to meet students’ needs
  • Develop Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
  • Plan activities that are specific to each student’s abilities
  • Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
  • Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress
  • Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals
  • Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, counsellors, and administrators
  • Supervise and mentor teacher assistants who work with students with disabilities
  • Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and from school to life outside of school

Essentials and desirables:

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Special Education
  • At least two years’ experience as a Special Educator (school setting will be desirable).
  • Experience working with multiple disabilities, including autism spectrum, ADD and ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays and abuse/neglect issues

Front Office Executive
Wellbeing Counselor

To provide systematic support and counselling to students and colleagues to help them successfully deal with manage social, emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges.

Specific deliverables

  • Identify emotional/social/behavioural needs through regular observations
    and discussions with division heads and grade level coordinators.
  • Plan and implement targeted interventions and counselling sessions.
  • Deliver sessions on social and emotional learning with clear learning
    objections and success criteria.
  • Work with parents collaboratively while addressing student needs.
  • Providing psychological support to staff members.
  • Develop positive working relationship with faculty and administrative staff to
    achieve desired goals.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Specialised educational qualification preferably at Masters’ level.
  • At least two years’ experience as a student counsellor (school setting will be
    desirable).
  • Understanding of mental health and emotional wellbeing issues including
    knowledge of academic, emotional and social issues which may affect young
    people.
  • Knowledge of a range of evidence-based interventions used to deliver group
    and individual sessions to improve young people’s emotional wellbeing.
