WHY SANCTA MARIA
We put our learners first always. We provide a caring and safe environment in which they are valued and respected, and are able to thrive and be happy. We practice zero tolerance for bullying.
Management & leadership
School is piloted by the core team that manages the 40-year old St. Mary’s Educational Society. We have an engaged management and competent leadership team with rich experience and understanding of education spearheading the school’s future.
Cambridge pathway school ( Early Years to Grade 10 )
We are one of the few schools in the city using the world-class Cambridge International Curriculum from upper Pre-primary to Grade 10. We offer a robust Cambridge program and IGCSEs (exams at the end of Grade 10).
International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) Grade 11-12
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme for students of Grade 11 and 12. The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide.
Seamless progression with flexibility and choice
Students can choose the subjects they are truly passionate about and specialise in them from Grade 9 onwards. By offering the Cambridge and the IB curriculum, we provide consistency of teaching and learning approaches and seamless progression from one stage to the other.
Teacher’s professional development
We believe our teachers are our strongest asset and are fully committed to investing in their lifelong learning. We develop a systematic annual plan for Continuous Professional Development and our teachers participate in Cambridge and IB workshops, training events, by experts in diverse areas, self-study courses, online conferences and webinars round the year. We also provide on-going in-house training by experienced professionals employed by the school.
Our excellent infrastructure with spacious classrooms, labs, art and dance rooms, clean and hygienic dining areas, play areas, state of the art auditorium and lots of natural light creates a home away from home for the students. We follow high standards of safety and security on the campus and in school transport.
Sport is an essential part of holistic growth for students. At Sancta Maria, we recognise the role of sport in building human character. Sports inculcates in us the ability to stay focused, work towards a goal, strategise, create plans to win, work in teams, appreciate the skill and competence, and build an attitude of not giving up! Therefore every child is encouraged to be active at Sancta Maria. We encourage all our students to participate in sporting activities, as part of the curriculum and outside it. We offer a well-structured sports programme as a part of our co-curricular activities.

Safety & Security
A safe and secure environment is a prerequisite for effective teaching and learning. Our three-tier security system is monitored by constant human and technology vigilance, allowing us to regulate and control the footfall into and within the periphery of the school ground. All the areas of the school are strategically designed with multiple exits for contingency and equipped with fire extinguishers and floor evacuation plans displayed on every floor and regularly drilled to combat unforeseen emergencies.
An airy and well-lit dining space is an inviting space for the students to enjoy the meals on campus. Eating together with teachers promotes eating etiquette and social skills. Sancta Maria provides a wide range of food and menus to suit each palate, keeping in mind the cultural background of students worldwide and exposing them to different cuisines.
Transparency & ease of communication
We look at parents as our co-partners in education and maintain transparency and ease of access. We have a dedicated Parent Relations Team and deploy convenient channels of communication via the Institutional Resource Management (IRP) besides emails, telephone and SMS.
Along with offering international curriculum, we believe in providing practical exposure to our students and teachers to best practices around the world. We develop international school partnerships for collaborative learning, use resources such as Skype in the Classroom, FlipGrid and TED Talks for wider learning opportunities.
Support for mobile families
Sensitive to the challenges faced by relocating families, we extend our support by accepting admissions during the course of the year and provide extra learning support for such students.
